Modern Christians are so dependent on the written words that they simply forgot all about the original source (GOD).
I have seen many Christians that can't defend their claim on why they believe in God without quoting the scripture.
In fact most Christians can't answer one simple question or even defend their faith without going to the Bible.
The best way to fully convince an unbeliever that you're serving a living God, is by using your own personal encounter and experience, because simply quoting the Bible, "to them" is like asking someone to believe in stories without you having any tangible evidences. As a Christian it's your duty to be able to defend your faith with powerful proves, not just words.
you're suppose to use your personal experience first as an example, then use the scripture to back up your claim.
I know the Bible is our guard on how to come closer to God and know more about all his plans and so on........ "DON'T GET ME WRONG, I STILL BELIEVE IN THE WRITTEN WORDS (BIBLE)."
Lets say for example, God decides to remove the Bible from this world, and ask us to write a new Bible with our own biography, experience, encounters, all we've witness. Do you think the lifestyle of this generation will be worthy enough to create a new Bible? I don't think so. "Why? you may ask!! If nothing but the whole real truth is to be told, our stories won't be convincing enough to captivate, motivate, encourage, attract, inspire or boost the next generation to strongly believe or have unquenchable faith in God or His son Christ Jesus.
Am afraid that our stories will rather destroy the real image of our Lord Jesus and all his true teachings about the gospel will be lost.
We have no real encounter with Jesus, no real story that have not been twisted to mislead people, we barely have anything that is qualified enough to be used as an inspirational text for the next generation, that's why most of these generation Christians can't answer simple questions without using the scripture, they are not confident enough in themselves or have any convincing stories about their encounter, spiritual accomplishments that is powerful enough to be used when preaching to an unbeliever.
We are not worthy enough to write and compile a new Bible because the level of selfishness, wickedness and greed of this modern generation is beyond words.
I don't think the selfish heart of this modern generation will allow that Bible to tell real stories without it being twisted, exaggerated, manipulated to mislead people for their own selfish gain.
If we can't even read the Bible without twisting or misquoting it for our personal gain, then how can we that purposely misuse the Bible for personal reason, be worthy to write a perfect one?.
The men and women mentioned in the Bible are just simply people, with little to no education what so ever, yet hundreds of years later, their stories are still being told and it motivates million daily.
They were so faithful in carrying out their duties perfectly without twisting, manipulating or misusing words for their selfish gain, they were not selfish or into using the word of God for money making business like this modern generation Churches, they were into it for the love and joy being shared, and not for the praises or fame, they stand for truth and nothing more, most of them died for their faith, they didn't build or live in mansions and have cars, they were just simple people who lived a simple life, but carried out all their duties perfectly till the end. Today the whole world knows and still talks about their accomplishments. "(WHO KNOWS ABOUT YOU OR YOUR STORIES AND YOUR ENCOUNTER WITH JESUS, APART FROM YOUR FAMILIES AND CHURCH MEMBERS..... IS THAT ENOUGH?)...... Just a food for the thought.
